A date for your diaries.
Horsham Council have organised an event in town in aid of Children in Need on Sunday 6th November. They have decided to try and get as many mascots as possible along for a party with Pudsey Bear in the town centre. Pudsey will be there and so far we have managed to get about 20 mascots, hopefully, to attend and still trying to get more.
So far some of the mascots will include Howie, Haydon the Womble, Reggie the Red Devil (possibly), Stokie the Dragon (Basingstoke FC), Ringo (Horsham district Olympic tpe mascot), Giddy Giraffe (Giraffe restaurant), Dasy the Cow (Horsham Capitol panto), Tadworth & Barney (Childrens Trust) and a few others.
The event takes place in the afternoon and more details shuld be in the press soon or I will get them to you. I think mascots will be out and about between about 2pm-3.3pm with other things going on around these times. The BBC are planning to be there to film a segment for the actual Children in Need night and Dave Benson Phillips (children's tv presenter) is due to appear to host the event.
Hopefully it should be a good event and possibly the start of a good working relationship wih the council's events team who may be looking to put on more mascot events in town in the future.
