The Leatherhead FC Board of directors have made the unanimous
decision to terminate Mick Sullivan’s position as First Team manager at
the club with immediate effect.
The Club would like to put on record its sincere thanks and appreciation for the work undertaken by Mick Sullivan during the past two and a half years, during which time the club has enjoyed an un precedented period of success. These achievments include winning the Isthmian League Cup, reaching the Ryman South Division playoffs in 2009-2010 season, and last season winning the Ryman Charity Shield, winning promotion to the Ryman Premier Division, and losing finalists in the Surrey Senior Cup.
Mick will always be an important part of the club’s proud history, and he will always be welcome at Fetcham Grove. The Board wishes hime every happiness and success in his future in football.
Mark Simmons, a qualified UEFA coach and club captain, will take on the role of caretaker manager during the period in which the club seeks a permanent new manager.
I feel sorry for Mick, who has done wonders there and is, of course, a former Hornet. Rather a jerk reaction after giving the Tanners their best spell of success for many, many years.
