It was very well supported and I would like to extend my personal thanks to everyone who either bid or donated items for the auction for Eddie. It is with immense pride that I can announce that last night we handed over to Eddie £750. It was a phenomenal sum and just goes to show what can be achieved. I would like to extend my thanks to my committee who worked so very hard to get last night organised. I am hopeful that FD will list the final winning bids, but as I said, it was an amazing sum to raise for someone who is truely a Horsham Legend.

Final bid £110 by Five. and finally the big raffle for the chance to join the squad for a pre season friendly was won by Jim Greensted, congratulations to him. Good old Garth did sign the shirt, but so did his mates Gary Lineker, Mark Lawrenson, Lee Dixon, Alan Hansen, Ray Stubbs, Gary Pallister, Manish Bashir and Martin Keown. Very kindly, Damo has doubled his bid to £80 to secure the much autographed shirt.

Thank you so much for this amazing amount you raised at the end of season party. I'm truely thankful for your generosity. Those of you who donated the lot items and those who bidded furiously to win them, i salute you. Thank you so much. i appreciate the effort you all go to organise these events and attend them, it's just brilliant. Since i have been at the club, you have always cheered my name on the pitch and always shared a beer off the pitch. The club means so much to me like it does you. Players come and go, but i know the fans never leave. Your loyalty and devotion to the club in good times and bad is commendable. I just hope we get back to Horsham pronto so more of you can enjoy the match day and spend less time travelling. This has been my hardest season so far, injuries have never affected my horsham career prior to this season, so your support to me this season has been a great help. You encouragement and well wishes throughout the season has made it a easier to get through. Although i'd much rather play than watch, i do feel right at home in the terraces. Thank you for your brilliant support. I hope to repay you all by getting fit and back in the team for next season. Enjoy your summer. Eddie French

Bloody postal service can't even get a small packet across a mere 21 miles of water without lost the effing thing. Sorry about that Funf. I have others that I am doing at the mo. Unless a more reliable, and cost effective way of getting stuff to you is found, I will have to hang on to them until your over here for the cricket etc. A visit sounds great. I reckon it would be a good idea if we could get a small group together to go over. What do folk think? BTW, I reckon FD's onto something with the Swiss not understanding our humour. I think they may of had a problem understanding the address as well. After all, I did write it in English (well your name anyway ) You never know, it might arrive in time for Christmas.......... .........Twenty20.
