I had the pleasure of meeting Mick only relatively recently when I moved to the town a couple of years ago and popped along to a few games at YM - he was a very nice man who cared deeply about the town and both clubs. He had so many great stories but had an incredible modesty about him.

I want to say Thankyou Mick for welcoming me and so many others throughout his life and introducing me to the Horsham and Sussex football scene.

I had the pleasure of watching the FA Trophy game with Mick last year when I bumped into him against Sittingbourne, he came in and stood quietly at the far side of the ground and was, like myself, there to cheer Horsham on. It was fascinating listening to his observations and knowledge of the game.

RIP to a legend but most importantly a very nice man who cared.

I'll be there to pay my respects on Saturday
