Who?
Apropos of not much I went to look at the Olympic park a couple of weeks ago. If you find yourself that way, there’s something called a viewing tube just by Pudding Lane DLR – and a nice café.
The site is just so huge. In fact, the scale is difficult to convey as event venues give way to accommodation blocks that disappear into the background. I’d imagine that lovely Tony Blair must be very pleased with his ‘legacy project’, well apart from the main stadium which is more functional than esoteric. A bit like the Birds Nest Stadium in Bejing, but without the Birds Nest part. What is quite nice is the river / canal flowing each side of the stadium which I wasn't aware of before visiting, that'll be attractive when landscaped:
If you go to Waltham Abbey at the weekend you'll go past the site as it's right by yer norf circ.
