and this is why I believe that it might take a few years but ultimately the Holbrooks fate is sealed, its not financially viable on a fully allocated cost basis as a stand alone sports club, it can only ever show a marginal return, so the Holbrook will gradually be eroded by Housing either in 1 or a number of steps , clearly the current market conditions have delayed any early move which makes people believe the problem has gone away. For this reason I think its really important that HFC do not feel they have to "fire sale" the site to the Council as part of any wider deal on a Ground near the Park and Ride. I am sure that Councillors and Developers will be telling the Club that Holbrooks value is low and they want to help the Club to find an exit from the Holbrook linked to a deal on the new Ground, but this may just be a way to get the site on the cheap!
