To be fair, Horsham deserved to win because you made more of your chances than we did.

Describing the ref as "inept" is fair enough - the penalty he did give us was outside the box (and an easy save because our taker didn't hit it well) but he booked the same player when he was fouled more obviously for what should have been a penalty in the second half!

The one-on-one was a turning point as soon after the save, you made it 4-1. If we'd got the score back to 3-2 I think we'd have gone on to get something from the game, so fair play to Josh Pelling.

We didn't actually have a left-back out there, which might be why your lad had such an enjoyable evening but that's not an excuse. We did create a lot of chances and on another night we'd have done better with those and maybe things would have been different. That said, you have no right to expect anything out of any game where you go 3-0 down in half an hour and our shocking record away to Horsham continues. We had a lot of players unavailable tonight, but you can only beat what's in front of you, so well done.
