All in all, a good weekend. It shows just how detached "professional" footballers have become from the real world and the people that pay their wages. I didn't see the game but the write-up about the Newcastle players was disgusting - they obviously couldn't give a t0ss, they just pick up their £50,000 a week and play golf every afternoon. A season ticket at HFC or a season ticket at xxxxx FC in the premiership - I know what I'd have any day. Who's that handsome chap....up there...to the left? Yep, its Boris Johnson!

Been a damn good weekend!! Feel sorry for Southgate, who maybe a crap manager but is the most professional, nice and down to earth manager in the league, but laugh at Newcastle whose fans have gotten what they deserve(not you Pedro, you're alright fella!) http://www.spiritofnormandy.org.uk/

They go up and down a lot, but unhappy for Gibson, who is the best owner in football. Southgate is a newboy and needs time. Probably not at boro anymore. Boro fans seem to have a lot of patience. Couldn't agree more General. But let's not forget Martyn Woolfords exploits. A non-league player less than a year ago, and now in the Championship following his MOTM performance and well taken Wembley winner. What a rise, let's hope it doesn't go to his head. Talking of which, there will always be some of our non-league players that are forever following the financial rewards bandwagon. With the current budget restrictions though, the players are bound to be affected. Let's hope that they realise, it's not just about money. One final thing, I firmly believe football was the winner this weekend. The teams that made it were just that, TEAMS, not some disjointed money grabbing playboys.

I sent an email on behalf of the board congratulating Exeter City on their second successive promotion and highlighting our longstanding connection with John Yems, outcome-they have arranged a friendly at Three Bridges. Martyn Woolford played a season for Frickley Athletic in the Unibond Premier and after that "grounding" experience at level three may be thought unlikely to let things go too much to his head. When was the last time a team sponsored by a pie firm (albeit one of the best) was promoted to the Premier League and how long before Sheffield United try to sue Mike Dean?
